The Richland County Sheriff's Office will be out on Feb. 16th and 17th looking for aggressive, impaired, or otherwise unsafe drivers.
On Monday, Feb. 16, they will monitor traffic in Springfield and Sandusky Townships on U.S. Route 30 and State Route 309. On the following day, Tuesday, Feb. 17, deputies will be out in Jackson and Plymouth Townships. They will patrol State Route 39, U-S Route 42, and State Route 191, as well as Champion Road and Kuhn Road.
Richland County Sheriff Steve Sheldon says the overall goal of this traffic enforcement is to increase seat belt usage. During this activity, deputies will adopt a zero-tolerance policy for traffic offenders.
