NH could pull E-ZPass from tollbooth speeders

HOOKSETT, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire transportation officials say too many people are going too fast through E-ZPass tollbooths.
Starting this week, they will begin using E-ZPass transponders to track speeding drivers and may take the passes away for repeat offenders.
The Transportation Department says that in one month, 42,000 transponders were clocked at 40 mph or more through the tollbooths. The suggested speed is 10 mph.
Drivers will be sent warning letters asking them to slow down. If they don't, the transponders could be taken away.
