LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol will be launching its traffic safety initiative "100 Days of Summer" in hopes of reducing the number of fatal crashed on Nebraska roads.
The patrol plans to hold at least one traffic safety enforcement operation somewhere in the state. That could include monitoring construction zones, cracking down on speeding or ensuring drivers are wearing their seat belts.
The effort begins Monday and stretches through Labor Day.
Travelers can visit the patrol's Web site at http://www.nsp.state.ne.us and click on "NSP Enforcement Activities" on the upper right side of the page. A calendar is posted there and offers details about the type and location of enforcement planned.
