Clarksburg Police Stepping Up Patrols in Glen Elk

The Glen Elk area in Clarksburg has been the center of a lot of negative attention lately.

Some folks are saying the area is simply full of crime, and now Clarksburg Police are taking action to make the community a safer place.
Some business owners and residents in Glen Elk say the problem stems from the homeless shelter in the area, but police say whatever the problem is, they're stepping up patrols to get things under control.
They've recently added a foot patrol officer to the neighborhood everyday during daytime hours.
Police Chief Marshall Goff also says they'll be extra patrols in the neighborhood at all times, day or night.
Clarksburg City Council has also formed a committee to help the area
