Default Proposed ban of laser jammers in Illinois.

Just found out about this today. Roy- any good arguments against the ban to use when writing the legislators?

I don't think there is any case to make, except maybe that the FDA should have sole jurisdiction over the issue. I say just be glad that they can't stop you simply for the jammer.

    Default Petty Offence

Well right off the bat they say that this would be a petty offence. Which means no criminal record and a fine of $50.00 on 1st violation and $100.00 on subsequent.

However it also says that they could seize it which would be a bummer!

The last section is interesting, an officer may NOT STOP or SEARCH on the basis of a violation of the section. Which I would take that they have to stop you for another violation

    Interesting, thanks!

More of a reason to buy the Blinder! I just do not get it. If you like to speed the Blinder and Veil make a killer combo

This might be a good reason!

Only a matter of time before it is banned everywhere.
Then the first time you drive by one being jammed he is going to be all over you.

Yeah but witht he Blinder you can resume legal speeds as soon as you know you are being lasered and turn it off so the officer can get a reading. It really does not matter if it is legal or not as long as the owner of the Blinder knows how to use it

Yeah, my main concern is the visability of the blinder heads. I think they'd stand out pretty bad on a silver car.

How do "WE, THE PEOPLE" allow something like this to get by us or happen without fighting it? Who's in charge here? Who works for whom? My bad...I forgot, I'm an Army vet. Next thing you know we'll lose our right to bear arms...or is that already gone too?
