    Maybe the LEOs thought the judge was gonna let the guy off? If I read the article correctly, all 7 of the town's LEOs showed up in court. That's interesting. They were missing out on writing tickets.

    7 LEOs in a town of 174 residents??? That's 1 LEO for every 24 residents. Many towns of that size don't have a PD at all. I know of a town about twice that size that has none and another that has 1 LEO.

    wow that's sad, shot in the back? it sounds like the situation needed tending to long before emotions came to cause this action. i've read other news stories about towns police forces like this, although it did not end in gunfire.
