If you live west of Lincoln and you're planning to take Interstate 80 home from the 300th sellout game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on Saturday, be careful.
Be very, very careful.
The Nebraska State Patrol's Troop C-Grand Island plans to have a significantly higher than normal presence on the interstate Saturday evening.
I-80 goes through Troop C counties, including York, Hamilton, Hall, Buffalo and Kearney.
Troopers will be on the lookout from early evening to early morning for such crash-causing behavior as impaired driving, speed, following too closely and reckless driving, patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins said in a news release.
"Putting extra troopers on the road will allow us to aggressively enforce violations that have a direct effect on the safety of the motoring public," Troop C Commander, Captain Chris Kolb said in the release.
