Staff Report Updated 9:44 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2009 MIDDLETOWN — A grant for 2010 will allow Middletown police to continue stepped up traffic enforcement in the city, according to a press release.
The Middletown Division of Police was recently awarded a grant through the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The purpose of the grant is to provide overtime to the department for targeted traffic enforcement.
The additional officers will be targeting speeding, seat belt violations, alcohol offenses, and aggressive driving in various neighborhoods and business districts around the city during 2010.
If you see aggressive driving, criminal activity, or a possible impaired driver, citizens are asked to call the police department at (513)-425-7700 with the license plate and description, if possible.
