The Florence County Sheriff’s Office, along with other law enforcement agencies in the 12th Judicial Circuit consisting of Florence and Marion counties, will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout both counties during the month of December.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is the host agency for these operations, which are sponsored through the S.C. Law Enforcement Network. The focus of the traffic safety checkpoints is the prevention of accidents and the detection and enforcement of motor vehicle violations.
“The holiday season is a wonderful time of year, a time when families gather to worship and celebrate,” Sheriff Kenney Boone said in a press release. “Unfortunately, it is also a time that some choose to drink and drive. During this holiday season, we will be aggressively enforcing the traffic laws in an effort to reduce accidents and injuries. Please join us in this effort.”
