Sobriety Checkpoint Announced For Friday

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The West Virginia State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint between 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 a.m. on Saturday along U.S. 11 south of Martinsburg, State Police 1st Sgt. E.D. Burnett announced on Monday.
Two possible locations for the checkpoint are at the intersection of Shenandoah Street south of Martinsburg and the U.S. 11 intersection with Mineral Drive in Inwood, according to Burnett.
Alternate routes of travel for the Shenandoah Street checkpoint location are Interstate 81, W.Va. 9 and Wheatland Street, Tablers Station Road and Lawn Street. Alternate routes for the Mineral Drive checkpoint are W.Va. 51 and Henshaw Road.
