Awesome. I wish more cities around here would ban them ... especially Costa Mesa and Santa Ana.

Actually Costa Mesa pulled the redlight cameras at both 17th & 19th st @ Newport Blvd cross streets. I just noticed it the other day and i was like hmmmmmm where are the big white boxes with the flash bulbs. I didnt read about but im sure it was reported in the OC Register. Next time i go near south coast plaza ill see if the ones off bristol are still there too. But in San Juan Capistrano there is another redlight camera that is not yet on the gps data base which must be new.

What about the one @ Harbor & Adams?

Irvine used to have some really sophisticated RLCs, but they got rid of them several years ago and I haven't seen any since (although my 9500ci continues to alert me to their ghosts).

Irvine got rid of them too? interesting something is going on here. Either the city council is getting heat from its citizens to remove redlight cams or they will be removed from office. Either that or the operating cost and ticket commissions on these redlight cameras are so expensive that its not bringing in the revenue it once did becuz the drivers are wising up.

Ill have to drive by the adams and harbor blvd tomorrow and see if its there. Also this might interest you...

Update: All red light cams have been yanked in Costa Mesa. All the the ones on harbor, newport blvd, bristol next to south coast plaza.
