But the state raised the minimum level to report a property damage accident from $500 to $1,500, reducing the number of reported crashes statewide by 28 percent and potentially skewing the results, officials said.

A Tribune analysis last year of the same intersections found that in 2008, the number of crashes rose — in some cases, significantly — at half of them. The number of crashes fell at five of those intersections after cameras went in, while two showed little change.

my guess is they saw a significant increase in crashes so they raised the limit to report a crash to lower the statistics to show the camera's are working even though they are not working are are a big FAIL.

I just can't believe these clowns would think nobody would figure out their scam. lol shows you how corrupt they are, they don't care if people find out about it because nothing will happen to them.

its a cash cow for Crook county and Sh!tcago and the politicians in both run the state. what really needs to happen is someone in Springfield needs to step up and put a stop to this crap. but the sheeple in IL are too stupid and voted in Blagos right hand man as the next Governor.
