LOS ANGELES - It's a special license plate, available to nearly a million and a half state workers and their families. This special plate allows them to blow through bridge and express lane tolls, without ever seeing a citation or paying the toll.
They are also immune to stop-light camera tickets. It's all part of a little-known program,......
Nothing our politicians do anymore surprises me.
Like going back to the Middle Ages. The priveledged (government) class and serfs. And if this were'nt enough, us serfs have to pay for their generous pensions and salaries.

X2, it's sad when government jobs are now more desirable and pay better than most private sector jobs.

I knew what this article was going to be about when I saw the subject. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there's any special plate like the article suggests...all it does is changes the DMV information so that if the plate is run, it comes back to the State of California and their office location, as opposed to the registered owners' name and address. I don't think it's anything you can tell just by looking at the plate from the roadway.

It's a good idea for law enforcement like it was created for, but it sounds like the program was extended to other departments and divisions, too.

I'm just glad one state is more f*d up than mine, and it isn't for NY's lack of trying... it's just Kalifornia is too damn good at being f*ck-ups in gov't for my state to compete.
