While I think that full radar and LIDAR use is still a ways off here in Pennsylvania, it sounds like there may be some advances in other traffic laws in Pennsylvania soon, if not this year then next year.
Apparently PA got some sort of failing rating for traffic safety when compared with other states, and they're claiming its because of a lack of laws regulating cell phone use, seat belt use, teenage driving restrictions, and other forms of distracted driving. According to these articles it seems like organizations are really pushing legislature to create and pass new traffic laws...and another factor that was mentioned in the one article is how much money could be made for the state if a primary seat belt law was enacted...
