Red-light runners, beware.

Starting Thursday, the City of Suwanee will begin issuing citations generated by the red-light enforcement camera system at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and McGinnis Ferry Road. The 30-day grace period for Suwanee's first red-light camera system ends Wednesday.
Beginning Thursday, registered owners of vehicles that run a red light at that intersection will receive a $70 citation. Included will be photos of the vehicle running the red light as well as the date, time and location of the violation.

Over the past three weeks, 577 warnings have been issued.

Suwanee's second red-light camera enforcement system is being installed at Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Satellite Boulevard and will become operational April 21. The 30-day grace period at that intersection will end May 22.
