Clive Approves Traffic Light Camera Ordinance

Clive, April 5th, 2006--Within the next three months, Clive police will have an extra eye on drivers. The Clive city council approved an ordinance to install cameras on stop lights throughout the city.

The cameras will help police catch drivers who run red lights. By July 1st, if you are caught running the lights, you'll get a $75 ticket in the mail. The cameras won't be cheap to install. The city says each camera will cost about $4,800.
