    Default Replica Plates!

    Guys,

You can get replica plates MINUS the reflectivity of the official ones for your state. These are PERFECT if your state requires you to have a front plate and LIDAR/laser is used in your area. I checked with Roy and he is fine with me posting this

I personally bought 2 already. They look so anthentic and the bst thing is the license plate is now out of the equation when it comes to LIDAR!

I wish someone could test their reflectivity. This is a great link, thanks happy a$$ !
I am just worried that "grade laminated plastic and is NOT metal" plates might still be shiny.

Happya$$, could you do test photos on the plate at night on your car?
I am just curious about the reflectivity of the plates with flash?

This looks like a novelty item for your wall or cubicle or whatever. I wouldn't expect them to hold up under close inspection. But behind a laser shield or cover with a single coat of Veil you may be in good shape. If I were going to do this I would only use it in front since it's easy for an officer to get a good look at the rear plate. I would also take a good look at the legal implications in the event that you did somehow get busted. (E.g. you get in a fender-bender and the officer finds pieces of the plastic plate lying on the road in front of your car.) Just playing a little devil's advocate.

    Default Plates

Just be carefull using these, I know here in Arizona you would risk having your car towed away, heavy fine for having invalid plates

Yeah, Happy I was asking my dad about it last night and he said having a plate like that on your vehicle is an arrestable offense here. Fictisious plate. I am guessing it is still a misdemeanor but still arrestable.

But if you already have registered plates and a "valid" rear one then what?

Just put this plate in a plate cover on top of the "real" one... personally I still prefer the photocopy method...
