Default How does navalert gather data?

Often people ask us how we keep our database up to date.

    Here is an example.

We monitor all media as well as govenment releases.

    For example
    http://www.wate.com/Global/story.asp?S=6155101

cameras are being added to next update.

This is sometimes even before the 30 day warning period has even started, thus often you will find a warning to a red light camera or speed camera before its even in the ground.

    Default Another Example

Here is another example, today we added to our database 2 locations to Saskatoon.

These cameras are not even in the ground, thus we are alerting to these cameras 5 Months before they are even issuing tickets - this is just a prime example on how Navalert watches media releases from North America regarding new cameras.

Thus you never have to worry about cameras not being in our database - we got you covered!

Notice the date of this email is the same day as the media release - this announcement is typical of new red light / speed cameras which ensures us having our database not only current but beyond current!!

I think it's good that you guys are up to date with your database but... why would you alert 5 months *before* the camera is setup? I would just find that annoying.

Yeah, I think one month would be just enough Maybe there should be a new alert "Speed camera under construction" lol.

One reason for the early update is that some users may not be updating their own units on a timely basis, or at all. Better to get it in now, than not at all.

Normally we have them posted before or during warning period, example

The 30-day grace period will end April 30, and anyone caught running the red light after that will get a $351 ticket at Lincoln Road and Garden Highway in Yuba City CA is already in the database - before even the warning period has begun.

How do i report a red light camera that is not detected by the navalert so the location may be added to the next update?

The best method is using the contact form at
    http://www.navalert.com/store/help.p...us&mode=update

infomr us of loccation intersection , if there is signs before the camera stating its a red light camera and any other information.

Some cities have Cameras that are turned off - (we have govenment data on those and have removed them from database) often someone will report a camera that is a traffic camera which we do not alert to.

Please send us a message on the above form ASAP.
