    Default New Install...(Now Complete)

Got my NavAlert yesterday. I am very impressed to say the least. I did not want to mount it to the dash, and the goose neck mount was too big for me. So this is what I did.

    SEE UPDATE BELOW!!

It works really well. When I first went out to test it I had it pinned between the visor and headliner not even close to the window and I still got a good signal. As a matter of fact you can see the signal strength along with the number of satellites it can see (Is this correct Chris?)

I don't pass redlight cameras very often, or even the speed cameras, but I still purchased it because of user points of interest and I plan on reporting some very nasty speed traps to Navalert. That way I can remove them from my saved spots.

Yes correct presing menu button 7 times will display signal level 1 - 6 .
Nice mounting option, we have did similar installations using a small adhesive triangle cut block. Its small size and great reciver leaves mounting options open.

Feel free to submit any locations you have, please use google earth kmz /kml files

I plan in changing the suction cup to something smaller. I should have it completely installed mid week. You mention about the google earth files, what if I find a location, stop and get the Long/Lat, and direction/speed limit? Is that just as good?

    More velcro..

That looks very nice and clean! You have thinking of doing such a set up as well.

    Just one question:

How long of a cable are you using?

The 2.5 meter OR the 4.0 meter cable.

The one that comes with it I believe is the 4 meter one but I am unsure.

    TIA

The one that it comes with. I just cut the Cig. plug off and hardwired it. None of my countermeasures use plugs...

Dont forget, an easy window install can be done by simply mounting magnetic disk to the top of navalert:
