I have a bone-stock '07 Saturn Ion in berry red (dark red, almost maroon) 4 door sedan, that alone is a good amount of "stealth", as it's not exactly seen as a "fast" car....
I generally do not speed, at least, not deliberately, however, I'm paranoid, and know how prone speed-monitoring techniques are to error and/or being misused
I'm looking for inexpensive ways to reduce the radar/lidar signature of my car, money's kinda' tight for me, so I can't go dropping large amounts of money on jammers and the like
here's what I've been able to come up with so far;
1; Don't speed!, if I'm not exceeding the speed limit, they should leave me alone (in theory)
2; apply a coating of Veil to the headlights licence plate, and grille of the car, problem is, the Ion doesn't exactly have the most effective headlight reflectors, even with GE Nighthawk bulbs, and I need to make the most of the light they do reflect, from what I've seen, Veil does add a slightly dark color cast to the lenses, reducing light transmission
3; get a scanner and keep it in car, monitor police frequencies
I'd *like* to do this, but don't know how to....
4; somehow, reduce the reflectivity of the Ion's grille, it has a lot of shiny chrome on it, especially a big "Saturn" logo dead center, I'd like to find a "blackout" grille if possible, or at the very least, find out how to remove the chrome finish and go for a Blackout effect, I'd also like to keep the appearance of the car as close to stock as possible, have it blend in with all the other Delta platform cars out there
