Well, I finally got around to ordering another V1. My first was in my Greddy twin turbo 350z that was wrecked earlier this year and after moving it to my wife's Mazdaspeed3, she does not want to give it back =).
Putting together some defense gear in the new ride (97 LE supra) and decided to partner the new V1 with a GPS mirror (thanks RacerX for the timely turnaround in getting it out to me).
Here is our test vehicle
I had the entire center dash area out working on the stereo so some of pictures are a complete mess.
Here, I have mounted the Cheetah V1 adapter, wireless transmitter, and the V1 hardwire kit behind the stereo.
The mess of wires is all the climate control and stereo. I have spliced in power to the mirror and V1 from the radio circuit and added fuses for the splices in those points (3 for each i believe). Again, it looks messy, but it cleans up real nice =).
Dash reinstalled and zoom out view of driver area.
Zoom in on the mirror with power applied and GPS locked.
Lastly, a teaser video from the night I finished assemblying everything. It's not the greatest, but the best I could do while driving. Didn't really feel comfortable doing much more than that after getting on a public road. I'll be adding some more in the next few days with a cameraman (or woman=).
