I'm interested in Cheetah GPS mirror, main reason being I would like to hook up Bel STi driver on it.

Anyone with experience?

I have one installed with its interface for the V1. It's an excellent product either by itself or linked with your RD. It's setting for alerts at a user definable speed is great for keeping your detector quiet in parking lots. If you have a noisy cabin, the loud alert from your detector and the mirror together is more likely to be heard over your music etc. Cheetah's customer service is top notch too.

The thing is the newer sti's have the ramp up fix, from what I have read it will not work with the newer ramp up just yet. Unless, since I last read it they have a fix.

Focal, since I can't find a place for the STIR, I'm trying a different approach. You did see my "burrito" right? I think I was only man customer at Joann Fabrics today... LOL!

With the V1 interface, does it replace the sound from the V1, or you can have both turned up at the same time?

With the V1, you can have audio from the detector and the C100 or GPSmirror at the same time. Some people like to turn the V1 volume way down low, so they can just hear the V1 still. Others prefer to turn the V1 volume all the way down and use the Cheetah detector for either "Voice Only" alerts or "Voice plus Tones" alerts.

The V1 is the only one you can still hear the original volume on. When a Cheetah Radar Detector Interface is hooked up with a compatible Beltronics / Escort detector, it is plugged into the headphone socket of the detector, so no alerts from the original detectors are heard - you get the radar alerts from the cheetah detector instead.
