    Default Use C100 and Valentine?

I've been using a Valentine RD with "concealed" display for over 10 years now and have grown to love the arrows, plus the generally good detection range.
Since photo radar and red light cameras seem to be proliferating everywhere, it's time to get some protection for them.

I'm thinking of getting a C100 that would go in my car as a separate unit, not trying to integrate it with the V1.

Can some of you please post your experiences with the C100? For the database, how accurate is it and how often is it updated, compared to a 9500ci? Any other comments/suggestions?

    Thanks!

they use the same database but the cheetah products use direction to give u warning so you get a camera warning when there is one where you are going ulike the ci where you are within a certain range of the camera

I didn't follow that, can you tell me more about the differences in the warning?

C100 has direction of travel based alerts. If you're approaching a camera that' pointed towards you you get a warning. The Escorts products have radius based alerts, so they let you know there's a camera there even if it's not pointed at you. They become 'camera falses.'

Here in arizona that is a huge benefit. I do not want to know about cameras clocking the traffic going in the other direction. That would be annoying as hell. I consider the Cheetah the best of the GPS camera detectors. I recently added the V1 integration and that is very useful in keeping the V1 quiet in the city as well

And updates are free for life with the Cheetah. They're free only for the first year with a 9500.

Of course, the C100 and the GPS Mirror are functionally identical. You can read my review of the GPS Mirror for my observations.

You really ought to consider interfacing it. The Cheetah adds a lot of taming options to the V1 that make it a lot more pleasant to drive with.

I'll look into the interface stuff, thanks.

My laptop computer has Windows Vista, which apparently does not work with the database. Our home PC has Windows XP but I can't park the car inside the living room, is there a way to work around that?

Can it be powered by the USB cable from the computer, or do I need a 70 foot cord to the cigarette lighter in my car?

Hi. To update the C100 or GPSmirror, you simply take the unit into your home and plug the USB download cable into your PC. This cable provides both the power and data to the reprogram the unit.

The update process is very straightforward and works with Windows XP and Windows Vista.

You can visit our website for full update details.
