Oh I agree that A jammer is the only way to be sure. But given that the greatest number of PT's come from headlights and lic plates it seems that untill jammers are 100% JTG on 100%of cars that there is a place for it.
I am also someone who really dislikes Monopoly's on technology. If you are saying that there is one formulation of dyes that can work and that they have the only IR absorption material that works. I will challenge that in comparative tests and indeed if they are right. I will say so
If you are saying that I can never sell any type of IR/anti lidar coating regardless of formulation because I will be sued because they have some sort patent on all anti lidar coatings forever.... That sort of scares me.
Regardless, I am going to come up with a setup using polycarbonate sheets and test against Veil and If I do find something that works as well, nearly as well. or better I will put it up for testing by everyone.

I'm definitely not saying it can't be done. It's a simple enough trick, actually. I just don't see a pressing need for it. Certainly not enough to spend precious time on. Life's too short for constantly reinventing the wheel. But hey, we all have to have a hobby. If it makes you happy, I'd certainly never discourage that.
I am interested in this because its my understanding that Veil isn't very suitable on chrome (looks horrible?), and besides front and rear chrome bumpers I also have an aluminum diamond-plate tool box in the bed of my truck.
I'm very tempted to sand the chrome to roughen it up and paint it with spray-on bed liner or undercoating, and maybe powder coat the tool box.
Veil on chrome does look ugly. However, you don't need to even consider veil if you have a good jammer system. With your LI quad up front, veil would be completely unnecessary. As for the rear, a truck's rear end is huge and veil alone would do hardly anything.
I have 2 heads on the front and 2 on the rear.
I am real curious on how it turns out for you. I have often wondered about that plastic crap that they make for headlights just for that particular vehicle. I am not talking about 3m, the other stuff. I wish I new what it was called, cant remember-and no its not called "'tape" for those of you with a sense of humor
