    Default Cheetah V1 Adapter

I have the GPSMirror with RDI. Have used it for over a year and still happy with it. I want to add a concealed display, and need the Cheetah V1 Adapter. Can I purchase this separately? If so,where? Thanks.

Yep. Contact RacerX on this forum. He is the main Cheetah rep for the USA (i believe) and a very cool guy. He will take care of you.

Speaking of adapters, Is there something special about the cord that it used to connect the v1 adapter to the V1, or is it any old flat 4 pin telephone wire?

I am trying to connect the viz alert to the v1 radar. I had the v1 remote adapter for audio but don't want to use the audio anymore.

Anyway, since I already had the remote adapter, I had to buy the radar node and v1 adapter BUT, I'm one power cable short. I had to use the cable that USED to connect the V1 to the remote adapter, to connect the remote adapter to the v1 adapter. Very confusing. Anyway....

    Anything special about the cord??

Hit up Don Norton at Cheetah as well. He can usually give you a discount code or paypal link.

So here is the answer from the Valentine site. What I don't understand is the last line.

    Making your own Power Cord
Valentine One uses standard RJ-11 (modular) telephone
connectors. You can use any telephone cable (the one that
runs from the wall jack to the phone) for a power cord.
Complete cables are available in many lengths at electrical
    or building-supply stores.

You can also make your own power cord using bulk phone
cable cut to whatever length you choose. To attach the
RJ-11 connectors, you will need a special attaching tool.
Bulk phone cables, loose connectors, and the attaching tool
are available in most electrical or building-supply stores.

NOTE: The sequence of wires must be reversed from one
    end to the other.

the answer is yes, you can use any old phone cord. all they are saying on the site is how to wire it if you make your phone cord and crimp on the jacks. just make sure they have 4 wires and youre good to go

Cheetah does have a special cord that attaches to the radar node. If you already have the node, it should have come with a special cable for that. The V1 CD adapter does not require any special cords, any standard telephone cord will work.

Check out Cheetah's website for exact connection options.
