I was thinking if only there was a way to detect police cars themselves and not just radar guns, we would not have to worry about things like VASCAR and other stealth clocking technologies. Could it be possible to detect police cars by the messages being transmitted by the police officer speaking into the radio? From what I see, officers do tend to speak into the mike quite frequently, and if we could detect outgoing radio signals miles away, it's likely the officer would have said something in the radio before you have gotten in range for the officer to clock your speed. Is that possible? Even if it is possible, do police talk into the radio enough for such a thing to be practical?
