    Default Photoradar, no detection?

Ok so today I got off work and headed down this road that I usually do, this time i was off work right on time and didnt stay over working overtime like i usually do, so i get to go down this road at 2:30pm pst when the schools are letting out and in this area they have the 20mph and flashing light with the camera warning sign and cops are just radar'ing the **** out of people till those things go off, you are always guranteed to see cars getting tickets on this road when those lights are on, so many people ignore the flashing light and photoradar and of course the cops that will just sit there and get you as you go by. So I finally get all excited that i can test my new detector on that photoradar, well, I get no detection at all, nada, not even from the cops but thats ok because they were using laser, but the photoradar should be a different story. Isnt the photoradar on constant when its turned on? I even waited for people in front of me to speed by the thing and it never detected anything, so im just kinda curious to why it did not detect, I am quite sure it was on, because when those lights light up flashing I positive thats when it starts snapping pictures?

    Two questions-
    What detector are you using?

Are you sure that you have all bands enabled?

I read on a post here (don;t remember where) that some photo radar is not using Radar Wave but some Cable under the road or something like that

    Default Photo Radar

Well "real" photo radar does use low power radar normally Ka.

However they do also use sensors embedded in the roadway, and in some locations even laser

All photo radar (steady gatso cameras) here in Greece use the so called "piezo-electric" sensor lanes which are embedded on the surface of the road. No radar detector can detect them. In addition all these special "protectors" proved to be useless in action because of the small angle that the photo radar operates.
