    Default Interesting Question??????

At photo radar sites they have photo radar of course and sometimes the occasional cop who will laser you. What if.............you sped through the photo radar and it got you and than the cop also got you, does that mean you will get 2 tickets for 1 violation? 1 by the cop and 1 by the photoradar(mail) or if the cop gets you will the photo radar be dropped? What if speed is greater on photo radar than when he lasered you? Anybody know how this works?

I doubt they will be patrolling areas with photoradar in the first place.

Im sorry, I didnt answer your question. I am sure that if you did- all you would have to do is take it to court and IM sure one of them will be dropped. That is somthing like double jepordy

Ahh thanks Sethy, you guys are so good here on answering questions. Im sure most areas they dont, reason i ask this is because there is this one area in my city where they do, almost always the same exact time the photo radar comes on.

I think in legal terms this would be "Double Jeapody"

Cannot be charged for one offence twice, by same and/or different juristiction

I've always wondered what the limit of that double jeopardy is.. If you are caught by a photo radar gun and 5 minutes later a cop on the roadside, is that duoble jeopardy? 10 minutes apart? 30 seconds apart?

My line of thought actually started with parking tickets, and then extended to this.

It is more or less academic for me, since it's never happened, and probably never will with my RX65 on the way.
