Looks like this thread is in the wrong section of the board.

Our civil liberties go away more and more daily. When I travelled to a foreign country and saw how free people were is when I realized how much of a police state the USA is becoming. Just have to make sure to get out if/before it gets too bad.

Agree 100%. USA is not as free as it once was. The mighty $$$$$$ is getting a firmer grip as time goes on.

My favorite hobby is fighting Traffic Signal Terrorism. Living in the Chicago area and its 133 Red Light Ticket Cameras has influenced me to join the National Motorists Association. Traditional waring devices will not warn of this "safety devices." The term safety devices is meant to convey that your chances of being involved in a collision is higher than intersections without these devices.

Chicago drivers as well as many other cities don't want the $100 ticket. I personally timed over 40 Chicago traffic signals and found that the yellow light timing or phase was only 3 seconds which does not allow for many factors including driver reaction.

This situation causes dilemma zones in which drivers can't stop safely or speed up enough to avoid the machine generated citation. The city ordinance denies drivers due process and those who do fight have to deal with city hall. The city admits to the three second yellow and states the chances of winning your case is less than one fifth of a percent.

A GPS detector and your reactions are your only defense, but don't stop too short for the guy behind you!
