    Default Super Protector question.

Are they legal to use? Does anyone know if the Super Protector plate cover's are illegal in WA State. I would like to purchase one from Roy since red light camera's are being used in my State however I don't need any ticket's for illegal equipment!

1 do you mean state of WA in Australia?

2 if you answered yes then the answer is yes,for the plates that block or hide the plate from view on the side angle(photo radar)and from above(red light camera) they are illegal in WA

i think my friend that got busted said they called it obstructing the plate

meaning your plate must be clean and visible from any angle the officer is looking at it from.

Good question. I have yet to see any complete list of where these are legal vs illegal. It would be great if somebody could compile a list for all 50 states.

I live in Ohio and have no idea if its legal. Its not very obious from behind and I'm hoping I won't get pulled over. If I do, I'll play dumb and hope I don't get a ticket.

I'm even thinking of removing my front plate, but then that in combination w/ a superprotector on back might get me some grief.

I live in Minnesota, where front plates are required and any cover of ANY kind is illegal. However, i had the no front/superprotector on back combo going for about a month and had no problems (i put the front back on because i realized i could get a $100 ticket)

BTW i drive about 15 miles everyday and went past at least 25 cops that had a good look at my car and had no problem 8) But maybe im just one of the lucky ones :?

In Virginia, any obstruction to the plate is ticketable. Mounting a license plate deemed not "viewable" Front or Back is ticketable.

Default SuperSpecterGuard anti-photo plates Steer clear of them.

SuperSpectureGuard by TelestarOne a P.O. Box in Hermossa, Florida
    They don't work.
This company also known as TelstarOne makes a fraudulant claim that your license plate numbers will not be covered when seen from the rear. This is not true as your license plate numbers are very viewable and it is very apparent you are concealing your license plate numbers to which you will get ticketed for just as fast as a person wearing a ski mask in a bank ..SpecterGuard has no return policy and has a ONE year warranty against breakage only. They threaten to prosecute you the consumer (check the website see for yourself) SpectureGuard (TelestarOne) make it very clear they are not responsible for the effectness of their product and that you "should check with your local laws". Reason is they are using the internet as you have very little recourse of action as a consumer when purchasing in this manner with a dishonest company as such. (OUT OF STATE PURCHASES)..Too many red flags ..they use a P.O. Box out of Hermossa, Florida..just another red flag. Save your $$$$$$$
