    Default RLC's and funerals.

Sitting at a nearby RLC intersection today I saw a hearse and something popped into my head.

I wonder how the RLC tickets would be handled to people driving through the red lights to get to a funeral presession? You know when a whole bunch of cars are together and going to the cemetary sometimes all 100 cars don't make the light and they have to go through anyway? Has this happened near anyone yet?

Probably send them all tickets. Knowing how the government works.

You can post a direct link to an article, plus an excerpt (paragraph or so), just not the entire article.

But... according to the Google search, looks like a lot of people around the country have received tickets this way!

This has been discussed in the past, in most States a funeral procession is a viable defense to a redlight camera ticket, and the officer reviewing the evidence SHOULD in THEORY not even sign off on the ticket, but of course the digitally imposed signature of your local officer is just that, a digital fraudulent signature testifying that the officer reviewed the evidence when in fact the signature was fraudulently placed there by redflex or ATS or whomever

    Good info. Thanks.

It sure does look like there have been a lot of these situations already.

This happens all the time in Baltimore. I don't think anyone has ever been convicted though, obviously.

I haven't encountered that or even seen it. But I have no doubt that tickets would probably be issued. But I won't even turn right on red at an intersection where there is a red light camera and I don't care how long and hard the driver behind me lays on the horn. There have been too many reported cases of owners receiving RLC tickets even after properly stopping.
