Default Do RLC's catch the 'rollers?'

I see it all the time. People stop at the read light, and while anticipating the green roll halfway into the intersection. Will the RLC's get them? I'd think so but I'm not sure.

Good question. Test it out for us.

I don't think so they record and shoot video right before it turns red then a officer looks at the video to see which car was over the line when red

The camera will take the picture.

Whether a ticket is issued or not will depend on the attitude of the police department reviewing the images. In parts of Maryland or Illinois, that's a ticket just for breaching the white line. Other cities / states are not so harsh.

Bottom line - don't test it.

I know in CA rolling or not slow, fast, complete stop, partial stop it doesn't matter once you pass the "threshold" it will snap a picture. I can tell you this for sure as i have seen many many people do it and the flashes go off.

Some were in the strait lane and then wanted to go right or left and while at the red light, did so and got flashed. But like stated above what it really will come down to is the reviewing officer and or department and what they choose to do.

But bottom line to answer you question - Yes it will go off

But first get one of these:

Like that wouldn't draw any attention from the police...

Most RLC tickets (up to 86 percent) are given to motorists turning right on red!
