Unhappy Why nothing new against Photo Cameras except crappy plates?!??!

It seems we are stuck in the dark ages against photo cameras, with the same old ancient license plates that were developed back in the late 80s and early 90s.

The last innovation I saw was with the VF2 / VF3 photo jammers that gave out a counter flash (or slave flash, as some call it). Their last units did work even against Redflex, but unfortunately they no longer sell them to the public.

From the looks of things, we may in fact be going BACKWARDS with new crap like the "Loover" making things even worse than before.

    Surely there are new developments?

the thing that makes it difficult for improvement in this area is the fact that in most states covering your license plate is now illegal, so even if you have one that works, you are just as likely to get pulled over for having it, then you are for getting a photo taken of it.

Yeah, it's hardly worth it anymore. RLC tickets don't go on your record. But devices to beat them are a jailable crime in many states. I'd rather risk the ticket than the jail.

Don't some of the cameras also have video, rendering the flash useless?

The RLC's in Murfreesboro, TN take a video of the vehicle going through the intersection, and they show you a close-up "zoom" shot of the license plate.

You get your ticket in the mail, with a link where you can see your self running the light.

(An employee got a ticket while test-driving a customer's vehicle, so they got the ticket and then call me asking "WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!" )

X2!!! In GA it's a $1000 fine and a mandatory court appearance to explain to the judge why you were trying to hide your plate.
