Default Help me fight this photoradar ticket. *picture included*

My mom was nice enough to loan my wife her car for the day, and of course my wife gets a ticket for 66 in a 50. (she honestly thought it was a 60mph zone)

My mom receives the ticket 2 weeks later. She has the option of saying that the vehicle was loaned, and can fill out our information, so I can presume the fine will then be mailed to us.

The ticket is below, is there any way to get around this? Its obvious you can not see the driver, but I dont want my mom to say it was us, then we go fight it in court. Can she say the vehicle was loaned, and she was not sure of who the driver was at that time? or will this cause bigger headaches?

Any help would be appreciated. 85 dollars to us determines if we eat spaghetti or ramen noodles. I wish I was kidding.

The new plate is not as reflective. I've added a tinted cover to mine.

I'm a newb to "fighting" tickets so if this sounds stupid, you know why. Why are you fighting a ticket that you rightfully deserve? You (your wife) broke the law, time to bust out the ramen bro.

Our justice system has nothing to do with "rightfully deserved". It's what the State can prove. Getting a ticket is only phase I, making it stick is another thing. If it was only about what was rightfully deserved all the lawyers in the US would starve!!

Well, you should have known that this wasn't going to be well accepted in here.

Why would anyone who invests in CMs simply pay a ticket like that? In order for this to truly work and save you money, you need to always fight (or negotiate) in court. Just the fact that you are willing to fight is often enough to get you a break.

The CMs can greatly reduce the number of tickets you get. Fighting in court, reduces the costs you have to pay even more, and reduces the risk of point significantly. If you do both, you'll be in good shape.

The other thing is, the porpose for all this stuff is to be able to speed. Why would one go through all the trouble, then when they get a ticket just say "Oh well, guess I'll just pay up"? It's difficult to imagine something more absurd.

Always always always fight your tickets, even when you are guilty! In the end, it's not about guilt, it's about money. It's about your money vs their money. It spends better in your wallet.

I bet if you got pulled over and the officer gave you a warning, im sure you would say "No no no officer, I broke the law, I want the ticket"
