    Cripes, the detection range on the first video was poor enough, if that was the first alert anyway. The V1 kept up the alert for quite a while after you went past the second van though so it would have been interesting to see how far away it would have detected it if you were going the other way.

    I wonder how the v1 would have performed in a horizontal mount ?

    i have yet to encounter a Robot and have my V1 with me

    Yep first blip was when the video started..ususual to see a different van for the Garda ones but it definately didn't have a roof scoop.

    V1 mounted vertically high.

    Sent a few of you a PM. Regarding Irish bands, is Ka and Ku necessary in Ireland? Also, is K Band spec at 24.150 GHz ± 100 MHz sufficient any more? I know the International units go into the high end of 23GHz.

    Cheers guys. I just replied as well. So Ireland is a 24GHz K band only state then?

    K band and Laser. Sneaky cop tried to clock me with laser a few days ago when I was about to pass a truck. Pulled back in a lane just in time. Definitely saved a ticket. Now I don't think that RDs are useless vs laser
