    Default Superprotector failed the test

    well i got a warning.

now this wasn't from the first time i went. i went again a few days before the grace period to try it one more time.
i'm GLAD i did. this second time was much less traffic, so there was no chance of my plate being blocked by other vehicles.
i blew through twice, but they don't send multiple warnings for the same vehicle.

here's a pic of the warning.

it looks like this won't work against these cameras or the photo vans in Paradise Valley ( according to someone here who said they got a ticket there).

i think the camera manufacturers may have gone to a different angle or something.
i was just in Cali and noticed some cameras at intersection that use a similar design and angle. may be from the same company, who knows.

either way, i'm switching to a lasershield.

next time i'll just run with my tailgate down, i'm sure they don't have x-ray vision on those things.

That used to happen to me before I did my "mounting angle" modification.
    http://www.radardetector.net/Angle-o...dar.-4707t.php
These pictures were taken after the plate was angled:
As seen from a car directly behind (center characters blurred to prevent self-incrimination)

As seen from the approximate angle of the camera that always used to ticket me. * Photo is not modified in any way. This is how my digital camera caputerd it.

VF photo flash seems to work against any sort of camera.

Its a bummer that they are switching to passive technology now

    Default VF2

    passive technology now
I have been doing some more research on the cameras on the 101

They are using new RED FLEX cameras. Their camera takes two photos spaced millesconds appart.

The problem currently with the VF2 is that it flashes once, so the second time the camera flashes, the plate can be seen.

Also the cameras on the 101 are using a back-up video camera.

RED FLEX are now used in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Avondale, Tucon, Minneapolis, Orlando and Miami.

They are going to make timing changes on the VF2 to cover the second flash and we will be retesting when they come out with this change. We are not going to be selling them however until they pass the our test.

As far as the video camera bu on the 101, nothing will beat that

Well there is one last chance that you can even beat a camera on Loop 101  Just make sure you flip it back up when you are off the highway

Or the Electric Flip Down Licence Plate

Had a link to one , but it was for a motorcycle.

What do you mean "switching" to passive technology? You mean the VF anti-flash units are switching to some kind of passive flashing or something?
