Default Capture Medium, Film or Digital?

How do most photo radars capture their image? By actual physical film (you know, the stuff that you went to your local drugstore to develop pre-2000 ) or are they CCD/CMOS based digital capturing?

Do the non-flash devices use infared for night time?

There all digital, and anyone can correct me, but I believe the images are sent automaticaly back to the main office for processing. Not like it is a parking meter that someone needs to come and collect the stuff.

as amoney says, mostly digital now and if they are fixed cameras then the images can get sent automatically. If they are mobile radars then they have a hard drive that stores them.

But there are quite a bit of normal film cameras mainly in the mobile radars like multanovas and gatso tripods.
