Yes here is one that I will also post in the news section http://www.belleville.com/mld/bellev...l/14266872.htm
Laser Interceptor Dual, Laser Interceptor Quad, Valentine 1 & The Escort 8500 X50 - Blue, Uniden BC296D, GRE500, Lasershield, 2011 Kia Soul +, Yamaha FZ6, 2005 Black Dodge Neon SRT-4,
I think Gjammer was asking specifically about Lidar. That article says radar. :?:
Thanks for the article. I heard about these photo radar vans in construction zones.
I was not sure if any Illinois police department had implemented photo Lidar yet.
I heard rumors about photo lidar vans in Illinois stationed on highways (not only construction zones) but I've yet to hear of any confirmation of this or of any stationary photo Lidar traps.
It's funny, the article says that they are not trying to entrap drivers. There is a construction zone by me with a photo enforcement warning sign, but about 0.5 miles before that sign, there are troopers hiding behind walls and on on-ramps...nice try ISP
Never seen them, and there is NO contruction going on...will my 985 pic then up????????????????????

If you are referring to the Photo Lidar Vans;Originally Posted by Jamescase10
Well, the normal rules of laser encounters would apply. I believe these vans operate unmanned so the Lidar Gun on board will be aimed at a certain point on the road, clocking vehicles that enter that target zone.
If you are hit, you'll probably get a Laser alert, and maybe a ticket in the mail if you are speeding and you don't have laser counter measures.
You may be able to pickup laser scatter as vehicles in front of you get clocked.
