Ford Focus trustworthy at Testing? Please Read Before Vote!

Ok due to this post below I will post a poll and explain why I will not sabotage the test in any way!!

I will play with the gun before we get started but it will be my first time with a LIDAR gun so therefore I wouldn’t know how to sabotage the gun!

What would I benefit from sabotage...? I think it’s better for every one to see the PT’s for them selves!! I have absolutely NO DESIRE to sabotage the results…if I did it would be evident… I believe it should be evident that the jammers on Outrun’s F150 are the same from GOL! Which he paid for!!

I have nothing to hide I have NO AGENDA!!!

I give my word that I will not affect the test in any way!!!!!!!!!!

Also if I drive I will try to tape myself driving if people have a hard time believing I wont mess with the test!!

Also I think it would be important to say there will be limited hands so its going to be practically impossible for me NOT to be involved! I will take suggestions on how to prove I will not affect the test if need be!

I will have a radio and the sounds of the jammers will be heard on the video camera!

Most of all we only have one gun if anyone is willing to let us borrow a LIDAR gun it would be nice… currently we only have the marksman 20/20.

Staton I know you are so right. I mentioned to him that it is hard work and takes a long time. I have e-mailed everyone in the area that has a jammer becuase I need all the help I can get. Iknox might be coming up from Houston. If it's just me and Ford then maybe I will through my wife in and she can drive :D

I don't think Ford will sabatoge the test. I really think he is going to have a blast because he is opinionated and when he sees the punch throughs when he exptected jams he will be shocked. I will make sure to get this on video. If it's just us will take our time have some fun and call it a weekend and then wait for next weekend so we are all refreshed.

Ford what you are saying is what we at GOL have been saying ALL ALONG. What do we possibly have to gain by faking results? The onyl thing that we would get would be one big fat lawsuit. I personally do not have a problem with you attending and helping. In fatc I invited you to our next event because you are opinionated. Well I will say I agree...now thats 2 things... :lol:

I get your point! Though sometimes I think as a head of a actual testing group some things should not be said...know what I mean..

and I really find it most impossble to say they are rigged false or whatever you want to call it when your not shooting the guns...but I also think that filming is a MUST!! sorry but hud shots as *****ing it may be must be done!!

Also I have opinions on what happens aftwards but I have no proof...
so I keep those things to my self!

Oh and I will try to be there at the next test if possible!!

also Staton I dont have the money for a DEF 2 right now... though I can assure I am going to buy one!!!

I agree HUD shots are a must. Without them the test is boring. From here on out we will have HUD shots but this means the LEO will not be doing the shooting :cry:

Okay, just so everyone is on the same page........

The gun is sent to Outrun costing only Shipping costs both ways.

He did some video stuff for me.

Take care of the Marksman and remember its ONLY continuous mode UNTIL a reading gets locked in........

So you'll have to decide that when punch through shows up, you either stop the test run and record the data or retrigger to explore the coverage distances........

And lets be frank: ALL units will show punch through at these off axis / overpass hieghts and distances........

So design your tests to either accomodate this or use a format to explore coverage useful to the jammer motorist......

CAMERA the HUD:

I know Jason knows how to make a video, but lets remember that believable HUD filming comes from having a baseline sign or target you can align the HUD dot up with and constantly recheck for accuracy alignment during your runs............

Don't do DS quality filming......................

Also, the HUD has the latest info available, BUT its ONLY viewable for 2-3 seconds. So plan on pulling out & establishing a focus for the LIDAR rear display panel.

Any novice filmer should use the fold out side view panel on most video cameras........ It makes filming SO MUCH EASIER and viewable for us.

Use the baseline sign or target, as a reference point and to make sure the camera focus (sight) is aligned with the HUD dot and the INVISIBLE LIDAR beam........

Make sure each car goes along the same tire path / yellow line or some way to keep the cars in the same place each run to make a standard reference so that EACH test / run is an accurate recreation of the previous test runs..............

To outrun: Will you be filming through the HUD?

To Fordfocus: I personally don't think you'd do anything to sabbotage a test. If you shoot the gun while the camera is filming through the HUD it would be impossible to accuse you of sabbotaging the test. Turning off the jammer is an easy accusation. Don't drive the car. When AL gets those massive punches at the 35 foot angle people are going to get upset and you don't want to be the scape goat trust me.

I hope this is the beginning of going back to the fun hobby we once had.

Rob, instead of attacking Ford for not talking about the punch throughs of the other jammers why don't you be constructive and add on to the discussion and remind people of the data yourself? Ford has an opinion and if he wants to talk about AL's data what is the problem? If you're not okay with Ford talking about AL's data alone feel free to make a post after his about the punch through data of the other jammers. Nobody is censoring you from doing this.

I don’t care about the other jammers. When people buy jammers they want to know what is the best product right now(AL) and what are con’s of the device. I don’t’ talk about the other jammers because I don’t like talking about #2 and #3 jammers. It’s boring and nobody cares.

When I attacked blinder I didn’t talk about other jammers because Blinder was #1 at the time. Same thing now. I talk about the current #1 jammer. Nothing has changed Rob, just another company to talk about.

Of course the AL have the lowest average punch through. I’m not arguing with the data and I never have. Getting the “best in class” award isn’t a blanket to hide punch through data though. I would also like to remind the forum the GoL tested non-blind retail units. Mouse and I tested the AL and received consistant punches at 400 to 500 feet. That was a retail unit and had crappy performance.

Can you re-write this statement for me? I’m not quite sure what you mean…

Yeah you only care about the best... I understand your reasons but when you bashing the best you are leading the uneducated to believe that others do not have the same problem!!!! You see my point. I am an uneducated buyer i see you bash AL so i assume they are the worst and go and buy the lidatek can suffereven worst punchthroughs. So really your helping of only going after the #1 really doesn't help buyers make the right choice. All the jammer tested have almost equal performance. A more thorough proof of that would be to exaimine the August GOL event results of the retail jammers. Sorry chirs if I am looking to much into consumer psychology and what a consumer would buy if he saw people bashing one company and not the other. People will believe that the other jammers are better than the #1 jammer you are bashing, simply becuase there is no bad information out about them being preached daily. ZThe Consumer will go with the product that is not bashed thinking it would have better performance.

I think it's great you are looking out for the consumer like me. By quoting the GoL test you are telling consumers the anti-laser is the best right? The sad thing is that GoL test doesn't represent what the buyers can expect in the real world because

A. Those jammers could have been purposely juiced(all jammers manufacturer provided.)
B. Those jammers could have been cherry picked and tested before they were shipped to GoL(takes away the quality control aspect)

Jim and everyone else have stated that this latest GoL test wasn't a blind retail test, so you could end up having a laser mimic scenario all over again. The GoL with their cherry picked jammers(nothing wrong with that because it was disclosed by the GoL before the test) showed the anti-laser did pretty well, with exception to the Pro Laser III punches. The GoL's test in reality is NOT the worst case scenario because they are using a vehicle within the manufacturers claim with jammers that could have $2,000.00 industial strength laser diodes in them. Neither GoL or you know what are in those jammers and you know those jammer companies are going to send the very best jammer possible to GoL, even if it means putting a diode in the jammer that will never go into production(possiblity, not fact.)

These are where the politics lie. Mouse and I tested a retail unit, a product consumers are getting now, and it's the first retail test, yet people quote the juiced or cherry picked GoL test. It makes no fricken sense to me.

Chris these are all the results we got and until testers can actually afford to do blind purchases they won't change unfortunately the GOL have access to the most guns but they can not afford to blind purchase all these jammers. You even told me on the phone a long while back that even with these blind purchases we need to wait for awhile to make sure the company doesn't start making top nouch jammers and then fall off like Laser Mimic did. By ford quoting one test as the end all and be all of the LPP is like saying all laser mimics will perform exactly like the laser mimic you tested....hypocrisy is a b1tch. Yes I am glad you did your own testing unfortuantely you can not compare the results to each other due to the differences in testing conditions done with each jammer

SO now you are saying it's ashame that the GoL couldn't due blind purchases? Well who do you think is going to pay for the jammers. Each member can only have so many jammers till they are fully protected. so where is the motivation to invest more of their money in jammers they don't need. Where is the donations for their blind purchases? Its the GoL fault for not buying all these jammers with all their expenses? Really we should blame the consumers that looked at the results cause it was parically the consumers fault cause we didn't do nate enough to the GOL for their testing event what sdo they need to blinde purchase all those jammer? $3k $4k? Where is that money going to come from. If the unit was juiced don't you assume it would have consistent JTG results like the AL6 tested in august but then again how can you compare those results cause of different testing conditions. Luckily that time Roy was able to supply the jammers for that test but how do we know if they were hand selected by Roy for that test? The Juiced rumor won't hold water until the test is redone wit ha blind purchase and the results are dowen the same exact way done when the unit was provided from the companies. So really until then the juice argument should stop. Also you are saying that I am telling people that they will get the same results as the GOL tested unit I never said that. I have been constantly repeating myself that even with the massive punchthroughs gotten it was still the best jammer tested at the GOL event. So that makes it the #1 jammer. you Said yourself that you only go after the #1 jammer so why are you bothering with the AL if you doubt it being the #1 jammer? By now the AL is a "has-been", you have said before the company will not respond to you and your friends say it doesn't exsist, So you are still wasteing your time with a company that doesn't exsist?

So accuse AL of cheating the test, well they cheated so they obviously weren't the best since cheaters already get an automatic zero in trhe grade book :lol: But why do you still consider the AL the #1 jammer if you have so many doubts My assumption come from you said you only go after the #1 jammer and you are only going after AL lately? SO when Denfeder2 is proven to be the best you will go after them again? :lol:

Chris I don't mean to make this a huge deal but some users on boths forums do not feel people have the right to their own aopinion and just jump ont someone cause their opinion is wrong. Opinions are not facts they are personal beliefs, I personally think I might be better off with a Blinder M40 my personal opinion. Facts might show these diode jammers performaning better but the truth is it all comes down to your personal needs in a jammer

It's really incredible but those few that have been fanatical about "Promoting" a certain unproven jammer seem to be completely full of ****....... :evil:

Wow I am glad I missed all the comotion again over on page 2 about twisting the GOL results into something what they are not, if I take a laser gun and target the vehicle from outer space and the laser gun get punch though does that mean the jammer sucks? :roll: :wink:
