Where should I mount a rear transponder ? Is one - over the license plate - enough coverage ?
Well, obviously I don't know how to post a pic, not sure what I'm doing wrong. http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...age&img=230515

You have the markup backwards. The slash should be in the second one and not the first.
So i assume you have either a escort zr3 or BEL laserpro 905....Sadly the rear transpond alone in those kits will just alert you that your being shot by laser at the back but they won't jam it
But if you have a blinder m20....Both transponders are ment for the front only
maybe a Lasershield and some VEIL for the rear if you're worried about getting hit from behind, but from what I've read and seen in real life, it's very rare (never seen it, and only read about it once here in some pics from overseas with a cop standing on an overpass, shooting cars as they go by and calling ahead to another cop to pull them over  )Quote:

You are screwed from behine unless you got like an an 2 transponders plus thick veil plut laser sheild maybe you might be able to jammer rear
Hope this works. Pulled this pic off the web. Same MY as my car. As you can see pretty narrow beam. My plan was Blinder 40 "IF" a single rear transponder is enough coverage.
Full disclosure: I'm a newbie here. Got my first performance car 12 months ago. Got my first ticket this month. Houston city limits, cop hiding behind a water tank sitting inside a bend in the road. Jumps out just before I hit the curve. My V1 is screaming "LASER" as the cops runs up to me mighty pleased with himself. At least he didn't write me up for no front plate!
I feel well covered for X, K and Ka with the V1. Been researching laser since the ticket and this is the most intelligent and informative forum out there. I was originally thinking ZR3 but after reading eveything I can find on it vs. the Blinder I'm going Blinder. Just need to figure out the rear coverage.
Robert, your point about the relative infrequency of rear laser hits is exactly the kind of input I'm looking for. Maybe just the Blinder 20 up front and Veil front and back?
Any input on any of this is greatly appreciated.

I guess there's no ideas for mounting points. I might fit one above the rear license plate, have to take some measurements.
What do you guys think about rear transponders - needed or waste of time/ not much chance of a rear hit?
best bet is over the license plate, but from what i've read, rear transponders aren't all that effective. don't know from personal experience though, sorry. hopefully someone will chime in. :D
Hey s2kyle, I think the two transponders at the rear is a great Idea. I have the latest V1 and Blinder on the front and have successfully jammed many a laser guns but a year ago I got caught by laser from behind so I am in the process of installing rear transponders. and a coating of veil.
