I dont know if this was ever asked before but if the STi doesn't leak anything can you run two of them in the same vehicle? Perhaps one for front and one for rear?
Anyone test this?

no it dosent leak for the spectre to pick up but they will still screw each other up. You can never rung 2 of any detectors together.
People have asked about this before, or running the STi with another detector. I've recommended against it.
The STi is substantially more sensitive than a Spectre (which is based off of the RF receiver from a cheap Quintezz detector). So although the STi is low-leakage enough to evade the Spectre, it is conceivable that if operated at close range to a another very sensitive detector, it could cause some problems. Even if the Sti doesn't set another detector off, it might leak enough to cause the other detector to "park" during it's sweep to get a better look at a signal, degrading performance.
what if the other detector is in the car next to you? Is that close enough to make it "park"?
Certainly, depending on the detector...Quote:

Possibly. Or, since the detectors sweep at different rates, they might be affeacted only when the sweeps of the two detectors coincide in a certain way...Quote:

$900.00 for front and rear detection........... :?Quote:

I've tried running an X50 and Whistler in the car together, front and back windshields respectively. The X50 front range seemed unaffected. The Whistler picked up rear sources faster than the X50.
I think the whole concept of two detectors degrading each other is a bit overrated and people being paranoid. Perhaps Belscorts are less effected..
