Charlotte County sets speed trap areas for next week

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit will pay attention to traffic enforcement from next Monday through Friday.

SPEED ENFORCEMENT

U.S. 41 from Midway Boulevard to State Road 776 in Port Charlotte. In 2005 there were 189 crashes involving 395 vehicles, injuring 92, killing 1 and causing $767,300 in damage.

TRAFFIC LIGHT ENFORCEMENT

U.S. 41 and Forrest Nelson Boulevard in Port Charlotte. In 2005 there were 24 crashes involving 50 vehicles, injuring 14, causing $144,200 in damage.

Sweet I'm taking 41 to and from work for a few days.
