do mass state cops use POP? i've had it for 2 days and i've run into countless cops from mass and RI and i have gotten NO POSITIVE ID'S on an actual cruiser. TONS of false alerts, but not actually a cop. what could be wrong?

Keep driving and learning what your RD is telling you. Eventually you'll find a LEO shooting radar or laser.
yea i figured thats what i would do, but after i've seen at least 10 on the side of the road sitting next to traffic, numerous traffic stops, cops coming at me and passing me on open roads, still no reading for it.
There are other methods to clocking vehicles like VASCAR or pacing where your radar detector won't sound an alarm. Could be that the police were using instant on radar on pacific targets or using their radar randomly? Do you have a metalic film on your windshield that could be preventing you from detecting radar?Quote:

Try running it in Advanced Logic "L" mode and POP off (option J arrow down V). See if that helps. Which band were you getting the "falses" on? Any "J" alerts?Quote:

Is your car putting out the correct voltage to power your unit? You may want to try your Valentine One in another vehicle? I would contact Valentine One and ask them. It could be that you may have a bad antenna?Quote:

Good luck sickofitall.
I think you just haven't found one shooting radar yet. 10 isn't many to pass without an alert. Remember it is a radar detector, not a cop detector! Mass staties are more and more likely to use laser anyway. You are more likely to pic up radar from town cops, some drive around with their radar on. It takes a while for you to learn what it is telling you My first time trying out a V1 was aggrivating because I went over a week before encountering any radar, then one day I had three traps in a day..and then I saw just how great it was.
