I've noticed what seems to be a new tactic by the OPP near Ottawa.
-A patrol car sitting at the end of an on ramp running what apperas to be a Spectre sweap.
-Further along, a car in the meridian running CO K Band to sweep on-coming traffic to identify potential speeders, and then using Lidar to target specific cars.
I am using a STi so that I didn't light-up the Spectre. I picked up the K band well back, and slowed in plenty of time. Intertestingly, I got the full Lidar alert but it either had to be a bounce from the two cars between me and the LEO, or maybe he was aiming at their windshields, and I got a pass-through.
