Ok well living in Texas, I have x-band turned off so I've never heard the tone for it, so I guess it's a beep right? As I understand it most of the country doesn't really have to deal with x-band so I would assume most people have it off.
Anyway my observation is that in all my detectors, k-band is always the single brap, while ka-band is the double brap. While it's decently easy to tell them apart, I wish I could use my x-band beep for k-band rather than the single brap. The reason for this is I sometimes have to double check myself and make sure I heard either the single or the double brap.
Has anyone else wondered this? It may just be my opinion but I wonder why they would have the two most prevalant bands sounding as similar as they do. Don't get me wrong, it's not all that hard to tell them apart... I have a feeling a lot of ppl are going to tear into me about this, but I feel it would be a lot easier to have the beep for either the k or ka band.
