Hmm... I am pretty unimpressed by the testers.
(1) Upgradability is incorrect on the Whistlers.
(2) How did a Valentine get rated higher than Cobra and Whistler on "features"? As far as "features", I'd say Valentine should be rock bottom. (Of course features aren't what's important, blah blah, but still that's besides the point)
(3) I question the 9/10 rating on the XTR-690's screen. I hope it'll be that good -- I am an owner -- but I suspect it would be like a 6 or 7 of 10 on my scale :)
(4) The Cobra 9930 got fantastic reviews throughout, even on "false alert rejection" and rear detection. In my experience this is far from the truth with their products.
i agree , visbility sucks on 690 but it has atleast compass feature and 78 doesnt and still 8.5 for bothon features.
for all i care i want good performance on k,ka and all other feature are insignifacant to me .
It personally sounds like a really gracious reviewer to me... I think he'll have a heartattack if he had to give a 7/10 or something. That's not what I personally want to see in a review. I want to see someone nitpicking the product to death, so I can personally decide if the points are enough to affect my decision.
Agreed there was no rating below an 8 on that test.
