would this type of bracket affect laser peformance!

i've got the this detector but i've never had a laser alert on it,

i have noticed that this style of bracket, the rubber suckers may block laser light which is being bounced off the bonnet!

if i mount it at the bottom of the windscreen the curve of the bonnet i can just see the top half of the laser lens!

i'm wondering if this is why i cant get a laser alert on it!

the newer detectors have the bracket at the top! but i dont know if they will pick the laser up! then again there a different model!

this isnt my detector but its the same one ! my windscreen isnt as virtical as that so it doesnt look as bad!

I would think it would effect laser alerts
