11 Agencies Step-Up Enforcement on Interstates
UNDATED (AP) - Eleven law enforcement agencies will step up enforcement on Interstate 39/90 and I-94 tomorrow from the Illinois border to Juneau County.
State Patrol safety chief Dennis Hughes says by saturating patrols on heavily traveled stretches of the interstate system, they hope drivers get the message to slow down as the Labor Day holiday begins.
Patrolling officers will also be on the lookout for aggressive drivers.
Federal funding of up to $30,000 is helping the agencies pay for officers' overtime. or redistributed.
