I drive a black car that has a two head Blinder M25 system on the
front. After reading this site and seeing some of the videos, I thought
I'd pass on an idea on reducing the lasers ability to reflect off the
front plate.
I live in a state that requires a front plate. The plate is white and shinny.
Given that the laser needs to reflect light back off the plate, I thought I
would start by taking some fine steel wool and scrubbing the plate until
it was very dull. This took all the shine off the plate. From a distance you'd
never notice, but compared to before it has lost a lot of its shine.
Next I remounted the plate but only used the bottom two screws.
I then placed a strip of 1/2" thick weather stripping behind the top edge of
the plate and the bumper. This tilted the plate out and forward by a 1/2".
Light hitting the plate would be reflected at an angle down towards the pavement.
Again, looking from the front you'd hardly notice, but the plate is angled
slightly downward and is a lot less shinny. I figure this should help at lest
a little and every little bit helps...
