WSJ: New Radar Detectors Give Speed Freaks a Rush

Interesting article about the re-emergence of RDs in spite of raised speed limits in the US. Also a profile of some of the newer GPS units. Cobra got their XRS listed with the big three. 9500i, V1 and the STi driver. So I guess it was champaign poppin time in Chicago this morning.

Now for the good part. Jammers were completely absent from the article. 8)

Nice article about RDs, but it's full of the usual "speed kills" propaganda BS.

Smart speeding by safe drivers is safer than 95% of other things most people on the roads do while driving (e.g. talking on cell phones, hogging the left lane, not signaling, cutting people off, etc.)

More BS, in the last paragraph, where it says Virginia police try to be visible rather than being sneaky when doing speed enforcement. Yeah right.
